2 year anniversary in STL-1 month late :)

Jon and I FINALLY celebrated our two year wedding anniversary this past Friday! We bought All-Inclusive tickets to the Cardinals game and then stayed downtown! Here are some photos from the weekend!

It's been a while....

This summer has been ridiculously busy! This post will be a little longer than usual. Here is a timeline of what went on this summer...

This June 1st- Mom shatters her knee cap Mama's lovely knee after surgery!!

June 5th-17th-went to Houston to take care of mom and help with the quilt shop

June 20th-head back to New Orleans
June 21st-Jon goes to STL/Farmington to interview for a new job (was offered the job on the spot)
June 22nd-26th-Jamie helps with VBS at St. John's
June 24th-Jon comes back to NOLA
July 10th-Jon OFFICIALLY gets the new job
July 14th-18th-In Dallas for MK Seminar
July 18th-pick up Laurel to help us pack our house!
July 19th-get back to New Orleans and START packing! Jessica, Renee, me, and Laurel on Bourbon Street for the last time! :(

July 21st-Our two year wedding anniversary!! (spent packing and sleeping on the floor)
July 22nd-Jon, Laurel, Renee, and I head to Farmington, MO in 2 cars and 1 budget truck
July 25th- Took Xavier to the zoo while Jon helped Matt & Rachel move in

July 29th-Renee flys back to NOLA after helping us unpack/her summer vacation :) PLUS mom's birthday. Also took Erica to the race car place at the Mills for her birthday Erica in a go-cart for her birthday!

(Jon and I told her she could pick whatever she wanted to do and we would take her and she chose go-carts)

So that is how our summer as been going. Yet another summer spent moving...but at least we are close to family (finally)!

I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers for my mom! She had her one week appointment yesterday and they said she's looking good. They took her 18 staples out of her leg (I'll try and sneak a photo on here later) and told her that she could start moving around more. As soon as she starts feeling pain in her knee she needs to sit down and rest. She has a machine that she has to do for two weeks that bends her knee at an angle. She's around 65 degrees now and needs to get it to 90. She'll be able to start physical therapy in 6 weeks (which will be tons of fun). That's all for now, I'll try to get a few photos up later. I'm working at the quilt shop (since mom can't yet) if you wanna stop by!

Hey Ya'll,
This might be a longer post than normal. I have been waiting to post about this because I wanted to learn as much as possible first. A few weeks ago I became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I LOVE IT! The company is awesome and there are so many opportunities to advance! I want to share it with everyone!!!! I wasn't sure how I was going to like it and first, but from the moment I started my enjoyment as kept growing. The women I've met are amazing and it's just fun to be around energetic women who want to help people, and that's what this company is about. What really got me was the MK is based on God first, family second, and business third (How awesome is that)! I'm hoping I can make this a full time job (which would be way LESS hours that my teaching job) and hopefully make the same about of money if not more! I've met many women in MK who have doubled their salaries and my National Sales Director is a millionaire (JUST from MK). I mean, come on, who doesn't want to make more money, work less hours, and have the chance to stay at home and raise your kids (or in my case, when I have kids in the future). Plus, the products are GREAT! I've been using them for a couple weeks (ever since I received my starter kit in the mail) and I LOVE THEM!! This is just an AMAZING opportunity and I want to share it with everyone I love and even with people I don't even know!
