Cute, cute, cute

My nephew Jordan turns 1 at the beginning of August (can't believe it)!!  His mommy decided on a sock monkey birthday party.  So, I made sock monkey shirts for Jordan and his brother Xavier.  You can't make one brother a shirt without making one for the other :)  Jordan's is blue and Xavier's is red!  I'll post a photo of the boys wearing their shirts as soon as their awesome photographer mommy takes them! No rush Rachel ;)

I made this cute little clutch for our anniversary yesterday!  We had such a great anniversary yesterday!  We went out for steaks and I got to sew during the day while my hubby was at work!  Here is a link to the tutorial if ya'll wanna make one too!  It was really easy and super cute!  FYI: I used Anna Maria Horner fabrics for this clutch and I love the way it turned out!

3 Wonderful Years!

Today is Jon and I's 3 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been three years!

I love you more each day I am with you (I didn't think that was even possible). You make me a better person and I can't wait to see what our future holds!   Thanks for working so hard and giving me more free time to sew and do what I love! I love you so much!

Here is a sneak peak of a new Moda Bake Shop project I'm working on!  Two out of my three little helpers got in the action too and I just had to share their cute faces in the sneak peak!

Birdie Sling

My friend's birthday is tomorrow and her husband asked me to make a purse for her!  He said she likes patchwork and purple and gave me freedom to make what I want. I decided birdie sling because they are so cute and I thought patchwork would be awesome!! Here are some photos of the final result!  I really hope she likes it (and doesn't look at my blog to ruin the surprise)!

hexagon progress

My hexagons are coming along great.  I've made over 700 of the individual 1" hexagons so far and started to sew some of the flowers together for my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt!  I know I've said it before, but I just LOVE making hexagons!

Tula Pink is one of my FAVORITE fabric designers!  I wanted to share some goodies that just came in the mail today!  This is one of my favorite fabric lines ever called "Nest".  I got 1 Jelly Roll, 2 Charm packs, and 1 yard of two different fabrics! Yeah, I'm so excited and can't wait to start sewing!!

Cutie and new Fabric

First I must start with a cute photo of my little Izzy....she was asleep on the recliner and Jon, my wonderful husband, covered her up!  SOOOOOO CUTE!!

Second, I went to an antique store in Caledonia, Missouri and they had vintage fabric! Can you believe it?  AND they sold it for $2.50/yard! I was soooo giddy....I'm sure the ladies got a kick out of me!  Here are some photos of the awesome fabric!
