Birthday Presents

This past weekend was my nephew Xavier's 2nd birthday and my other nephew Jordan's baptism!! BIG celebration weekend! Here are some photos from the weekend and photos of what I made them for presents!

I made a crayon roll for Xavier because he is really enjoying coloring!

These are triangle crayons that are supposed to help beginners learn how to hold a crayon.

This is a wall hanging I painted for Jordan's room. His room is mostly navy with touches of red and is sports themed, so I thought this would be perfect!

I did a lot of sewing today!

The first things I made today are travel tissue holders! They turned out super cute and are the easiest things to make!

I have been crafting/sewing a lot, I just can't post any photos yet because the things I've made are presents for my adorable nephews! They get them this weekend at Xavier's 2nd birthday party/Jordan's Baptism!! I'll update after this weekend because I don't want their mommy to see them yet! ; ) sorry Rachel!

Burp Cloths

This is my first attempt at burp cloths, but I really like how they turned out! Let me know what you think!

Sweet Izzy

Lately, every time I am on the computer sweet little Izzy lays either on top of me or right on the desk so I can see half of the screen. Today I was able to just reach my camera so I could document how cute she is! This little girl apparently needs attention!

I wasn't really liking how this quilt was turning out, then my mom gave me an idea to add solid blocks in between the other ones (that's why she's the expert). I REALLY like how it's turning out now and it's a bigger size for extra snuggle room! I'm about halfway through sewing these blocks together, and after that I will add a border.

New blocks

I started on some new blocks today and I'm really loving how they are turning out. I made 36 blocks today and hope to make more tomorrow. I've had this flower fabric since 2004 and have been waiting for the right project to come along. Let me know what ya'll think!

Labor Day Fun

For Labor Day we all went to the St. Louis Zoo; Matt, Rachel, Xavier, Jordan, Kate, Rylee, Erica, Jon and I. They have a sting-ray exhibit going on and it was really neat. Here are some photos of us at the sting-ray exhibit.

I added a border to my quilt today! Now all I have to do is get some backing fabric and quilt it together! I am loving this fabric!
