NEW Moda Bake Shop: Auntie's Diamonds & Giveaway!

Hey ya'll and welcome to my blog!  My NEW Moda Bake Shop project is up today and it's called Auntie's Diamonds! I am so excited to share it with you! If you're already a follower be sure to hop on over to MBS and check out the free pattern! And if you're new, WELCOME!

This quilt was super fun to make and it uses one Layer Cake and half of a Charm Pack plus border fabrics! I used the fabric line Sophie by Chez Moi and let me tell ya, this fabric is so pretty! It measures 57" X 88" so it's a super cozy lap quilt OR you could even put it on a twin size bed!

If you make one, I'd LOVE to see it, so please add a photo to my Flickr Group!!

Love that backing fabric....it was my favorite print of the entire line!
Gotta LOVE the Houndstooth pattern in all sorts of colors too, great basic to have in your stash!

This last photo is the reason I'm calling it Auntie's Diamonds.  I quilted my sister's name into the inner border (SURPRISE LAUREL!!!!!) and she doesn't know until now!!!  I plan on giving this to her after my son is born at his baptism because she is going to be his Godmother as well and his awesome Auntie!!  SURPRISE AGAIN LAUREL!!!!  :)  Love you!

Anywho....thanks for coming to my blog...feel free to look around and check out my other tutorials! Don't forget to sign up for the giveaway!!  Have a great week!

Quilt Market part two...quilts

Here is just a sample of some the awesome quilts at Market!

I'm doing baby's nursery in Dr. Seuss/primary colors so of course I had to take some photos of the Dr. Seuss display!

I had to take a photo of this quilt because it looks like my Ozzie!

Gorgeous colors!

That cobalt blue is stunning!

Gotta love the cardinals!

Love the blue and green!

By the way....my NEW Moda Bake Shop is going to be up on Wednesday....come back to my blog on Wednesday November 30th for a giveaway!!!

Quilt Market

This is a little late....but better late than never!!  Here are some photos from Houston Quilt Market!  I'm going to do two posts so there won't be like 30 photos all on one post!

First off here are some photos from Amy Butler's Booth!

Amy Butler and my pregnant self!  All that walking around all day made me feel SUPER pregnant!

Lark fabrics

Those pillows are awesome (Honey Bun Poufs) and gorgeous bags!

Her new line Lark, to me, has a very beachy vibe to it!

Next up, Anna Maria Horner's Booth!

Anna Maria and I!  Her due date with her first child is my exact due date, how crazy is that?!

Pretty embroidery

This quilt was awesome, it's hard to tell in the photo but all of the yellow are different folds (this photo is for you Jess!)

Her AWESOME couch....I want this at my house please!

I can't remember what booth this elephant was in, but he sure is cute!

Some fun pincushions!!

On to post two.....with pretty quilts!
