Cuteness

So my husband left early this morning and will be gone all week for work in Kentucky!  I sense A LOT of sewing in my future (hopefully)!  I finished one quilt top today that I can't show yet because it will be a MBS project! What I can tell you that the name of the quilt is "Awesome" and I'm in LOVE with it!  Ok, enough teasing.  During the middle of my all day sewing extravaganza, my sweet little Izzy decided that she needed attention!  She jumped on my lap and yelled at me...here is a cute photo :)  I love sewing and kitties; they are my favorite :)

A spider and some sneak peaks

First, I would just like to say sorry for the long post...I haven't posted in over a week and I've been REALLY REALLY BUSY!
So I went outside to take a photo of my new quilt top and found this gigantic spiderweb with the spider right in the middle!  It's amazing how large this spiderweb is!  If you look closely at the photo you can totally see the web!

This is the reason I've been MIA for the past week or so....I have been working on Christmas presents (yes I know I'm sick and start Christmas presents early BUT I have a lot to get done and don't want to rush and the end).  I will not say who these presents are for.  Not all are for Christmas; one is for a baby shower (Katie) and one is a new Moda Bake Shop project that I will need to redo in a newer fabric line.

This is Ozzie laying on a pile of shirts that I'm cutting into.  I can probably talk about this one since I don't think Grandma Mueller will look at my blog.  My husbands Grandpa died in August and now his Grandma is in a nursing home.  I took a bunch of Grandpa's shirts and I am going to make a quilt out of them for Grandma's bed!  It's a surprise so any MUELLER that visits Grandma do not tell her please!  I will take photos along the way so ya'll can see!
I can talk about this quilt too because it's for me.  The fabric is Tula Pink's Plume and it's gorgeous.  I think this is the layout I've decided on.  I think I'm going to do a segment on choosing the right layout...what do you think? Does that interest you?

This one is obviously for our new nephew (to be born in November) This is just the back Katie so you will still be surprised :)

The last four photos are presents and one is my next Moda Bake Shop project.  I am not going to tell you which ones are which!  You'll just have to wait and see!!  Hope ya'll have a great day!

Pincushions

Yesterday and today I've been cleaning and reorganizing my garage and sewing room.  I will post photos soon (sewing space isn't quite done to take photos yet)!  I needed a little crafty break so I made some pincushions!  Where I live, there are a ton of antique stores so I bought the bases at an antique store and made these today!  I think they turned out so cute!  What do you think??

Zoo and a Quilt

This probably should be two separate posts but oh well.  First off, this past weekend was Labor Day weekend and we all decided to go to the zoo!  Here are some cute photos from the day!

Next up is a custom quilt I made for a customer.  He said wanted a pink and brown quilt with "Grandpa's little princess" in John Deere Green.  This is what I came up with and think it turned out super cute!!

New Camera Lens

My new camera lens FINALLY arrived in the mail today and I immediately had to play with it (even though I should be finishing the quilting on the two baby quilts I'm working on)!
Anywho...I of course took photos of my three babies Ozzie, Izzy and Gibby.  Then I went to the park where there are tons of flowers and butterflies everywhere!  I'm only posting a few because I don't have time to edit them all due to the previously mentioned baby quilts :)  Here are my babies:

Then this last photo is inspired my my sister-in-law who is a photographer in St. Louis.  She does way better photos than this, but this is my version!

OH MY GOSH!

Ok so it's 3 AM and I CANNOT sleep because I just saw this over on the united notions website and nearly had a heart attack (in a good way)! Yep, that's my ruffle quilt on the bottom row second from the left! I can't make the image any bigger yet...too tired to figure that out right now.  You can see it better by going here: http://www.unitednotions.com/press_QuiltSampler_fall2010.pdf
God Bless the entire Moda Company and the entire Moda Bake Shop Family!!  This just made my entire year!!  Thank you thank you thank you!
