I like patterns with lots of completed examples so I can get an idea of what the finished quilt will look like in various colours. :)
I'm a beginner so mostly I'm looking for it to be simple! :) I also like photos as well as written instructions and exact measurements.

I like patterns that look good with a variety of fabrics, especially scrappy!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I like detailed instructions and lots of pictures.
I am a follower.
I like patterns that jive with my Accuquilt GO! Baby. I'm lazy with cutting these days.
I like diagrams and measurements and minimal text.
Ohh, they are so pretty! Because I'm still a bit of a beginner I look for easy to understand instructions and explanations!
I look for a pattern that is versatile, that will last for a number of years for children - so not too babyish. I look for a pattern that you can use with a variety of fabric and colours.
I look for something unique or that I haven't done before. Or a new twist on a classic.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Honestly, when I look for a quilt pattern I first look at the completed quilt. If it doesn't jazz me I don't have any desire to go any further. I like the way colors play together and the way the design works with the fabrics. Once I'm intrigued by the finished quilt, I will probably buy it regardless.
Umm... as I've never purchased a pattern I don't know what I'd actually be looking for. I guess a level of difficulty would be a nice feature to look for. I find those very helpful at times when my ego takes over and persuades me that I can do anything.
When buying a pattern, the first thing I look for is a nice picture that represents the product, not just a drawing. This is especially true in clothing patterns. I like to see a picture of the clothing item on a real person.
A very simple pattern with detailed instructions. Thanks!!
I have followed you on twitter (twinklythings)
And in a pattern I want it easy to substitute fabrics
Always start with the fabric :)
Now following you on FB
and via blog (GFC)
I look for something that looks cute and simple.
I am into bags and totes right now, so I have been purchasing a lot of those - Heather Bailey and Amy Butler to name just two. Thanks for the give away - you're so lucky to have gone to the market!
I am a follower on Facebook.
I really just look to see if the pattern is something I like. Oh, and something worth paying for -- I can figure out for myself simpler quilts. :}
Thanks for the chance to win!
I haven't bought a pattern in a few years, but when I did it was usually something with applique because they are usually quite unique.

I only buy patterns that when I look at them, I wonder how it was done. If I think, "Oh, I can do that," without the pattern, I won't buy it. Still, I don't like anything too complicated either...
I like good instructions and pictures. I can figure a lot of things out, but it's nice to have the instructions to fall back on. Thanks for the giveaway!
Pictures and simple straight forward directions.
I always expect detailed instructions and a couple of pictures!

I look for something I can't figure out myself. :)
I want something really easy to follow. Dont assume I know a technique.
Detailed instructions with lots of pictures!
I look for a pattern that "speaks to me" - makes me fall in love with it. I'm a beginner, but that doesn't seem to stop me in trying new techniques.
What grabs my attention is the photo on the front of the pattern. What makes me buy more patterns from that designer is a pattern with very clear, detailed instructions with photos for each step. I like Michelle Patterns (former Keyka Lou) and Lazy Girl patterns for that reason.
I'm participating in the giveaway, too. I'd love it if you popped by to enter! Thanks. :)

I follow you on twitter, too!
I look for clear instructions, diagrams and pictures! To many people leave out many pictures and diagrams. I find them such a help!

As I am very new to sewing and quilting scares the living daylights out of me, I think a beginner pattern / design will catch my eye. Also incredibly well written instructions - assume I know nothing and google is broken - hahaha
Thank you for a great prize and the chance to win it.

For a pattern, I want something innovative, either a technique or an arrangement that I can't figure out on my own. Thanks for the giveaway -- those colours look awesome!
I look for something I couldn't figure out for myself!
instructions, inspiration
lots of reasons to buy a pattern--colorfulness, bold designs, great directions, and pictures or diagrams are helpful. i always change things up--sizes, colors, fabrics, but basics are really nice. thanks for the opportunity and have a great day
i'm a friend on fb now. thanks again
I like it when patterns offer multiple sizes and pictures in different colorways.
I am always looking for ways to use my precuts!
I look for easy to follow instructions. Thanks for the giveaway.

Oh and I'm a new follower!
For patterns, I look at how easy it is and how well the instructions are explained.
I've been a follower for a while now
Something easy to follow!
I like simple, easy to follow instructions.
Thanks,

I look for a pattern that I can do with my meagre skills.
I like something modern. liz.taylor24@yahoo.com
I look for a pattern that I'd be unlikely to be able to figure out on my own.
I look for colors that are bright, soft texture, and sometimes for a gift, the print. As I learn, I am looking for the artist.
I look for a pattern that will challenge me or teach me a new way to do things that I couldn't think of on my own. Simple quilt pattern ideas are something I can make up on my own.
I don't buy too many patterns, but I look for something I can't figure out on my own, but that isn't too complicated with lots of fussy little pieces to cut out and keep track of. Like I said, I'm probably not the best to ask... :)
I look for a pattern that complements the fabric and that I won't get tired of making, leading to an uncompleted project!

New faceook fan too.
Nice to have a pattern. Thanks for the giveaway.

something quirky, unusual but easy.
I look at how clear the instructions are. This includes formatting - is the font easy to read and the layout on the page easy to follow. I also love a few helpful hints or insider tips for the less advanced sewist.
I love a unique pattern that won't take forever. Detailed photos are great!
I'm a new follower :)
I wants something that stands out and pops!! Also something that will challenge me to become a better quilter.
